Heavy String production is recorded live using studio instruments such as the Akai MPC (Music Production Center for drums), the Roland Fantom, Yamaha Motif, or Korg Triton (studio keyboards and pianos for keys/strings), and the Korg MS2000 or Minimoog (studio bass synthesizers for bass lines). In practical usage, however, the term is often applied more to basses with more than 6 strings, including 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and even 12-string basses. Steve Brown (bass player) - Steve Brown (1890 - 15 September, 1965) was a jazz musician best known for his work on string bass.
